Device plans

Guest plans stay in this browser or app’s local storage on your device. Signing in does not upload them until you preview and confirm an account save.

Accounts

You can create a Next Move account with Google, Apple, or your email address and a password. An account stores your email address, the name you give (or your sign-in provider shares), and the private plan copies you choose to save. Email accounts are confirmed by a verification email, and you can reset a forgotten password by emailed link. Sessions use secure cookies on the website and a Bearer session token in the native app sandbox. You can sign out or delete your Next Move account from Account saving. Deleting the account removes account plan copies and server email reminder rows; device copies remain until you clear them.

Reminders

On-device notifications use your phone’s notification permission and show generic wording. Account emails (email verification and password reset) and optional email reminders (when enabled) are sent to your account email through Resend; reminder content stays non-sensitive.

AI assist (Plus)

Optional AI assistance sends the item text, follow-up message or selected plan titles needed for your request to OpenAI through our server. AI runs only after consent and requires Next Move Plus or verified membership access. The guided workflow remains available without AI. We record usage counts and estimated processing cost to enforce your allowance and operate the service. OpenAI processes requests under the terms applicable to our API service; see OpenAI’s privacy information.

Purchases and membership

Apple handles App Store payments. Next Move verifies transaction identifiers, product, subscription status and an account-linked purchase token to provide access and restore purchases. Membership linking requires you to verify both accounts with Adaptive or Floor; we use the verified link and membership status to determine access. Matching email alone does not link accounts. Deleting your Next Move account does not cancel an Apple subscription; manage subscriptions in your Apple account settings.

Service providers

Vercel hosts Next Move’s website and API, and Neon stores account data. Google or Apple provides your chosen sign-in service. OpenAI processes optional AI requests, and Resend delivers account emails and, when enabled, email reminders. These services process information needed to provide their respective functions.

Storage and deletion

Account data is stored in our Next Move database in Northern Virginia, United States. Device-only plans remain on your device until you remove them or clear the app’s storage. You can delete account plan copies and your Next Move account through Account saving.

Our database currently keeps a six-hour history window for recovery. Deleting a record from the active database does not immediately remove it from that recovery history. This window does not describe retention of every service provider’s logs or other operational records.
